Kevin Boyer

(Resident Playwright)

Kevin is a life long resident of Toledo. He wrote his first play as a cub scout; it was ravaged by the critics (the Boy Scouts). He refused to be cowed by the experience and has written on and off throughout the years. He worked for over 30 years at a local TV station including for a time writing, producing and delivering his own humorous editorials known as “Boyer’s I View” on the issues and events of the day. He was awarded an”Honorable Mention” in the HBO New Writers Project for his script “The Babysitter”. Currently retired, The Lakeside Theatre Company has restrained, uh retained him as resident playwright.
